Wind

The wind has been in my paintings for a long time, and I think it is here to stay, as I find it deeply inspirational. It is a connection between different collections and themes. It gives me an opportunity to explore movement and air, and to connect abstract painting with reality. My paintings are always in motion, or in the moment just before or after the movement. There are some particles or large color forms that move through the canvas. I like the possibilities it opens up: to be in abstract paintings while still having some connection to nature and surroundings. I always dance between minimalist paintings that look effortless (even though it is very hard to achieve), and fragments of reality. They are like books with open endings that invite the viewer to finish them in their own imagination.
